About Us
lumentics is a small company from Altenburg in Thuringia, Germany. Since 2015 we have been selling glow-in-the-dark pigments, glow paints, sprays, granules and accessories – here in our own shop as well as on Amazon and eBay.
Under the brands lumentics and Lumentify we work with light-storing materials: materials that absorb light and release it again in the dark. They are based on strontium aluminate pigments (SrAl₂O₄). lumentics is run by Dr. Falko Böttger-Hiller & Lars Ehrhardt Leuchtstoffe GbR.

Dr. Falko Böttger-Hiller
Materials & developmentHolds a doctorate in chemistry. He looks after pigments, formulations and the development of new products.
Lars Ehrhardt
Shop, marketing & organisationBusiness information systems specialist. He is responsible for the shop, marketing and organisation.

Raw materials and industrial enquiries are handled by our sister brand Lumentify.
Community involvement
Since 2017 we have been supporting social, creative and scientific projects with materials and advice – including Jugend forscht (a German youth science competition), schools, nurseries and youth clubs, students with their bachelor's and diploma theses, artists, and urban development projects in Altenburg such as Farbküche and Stadtmensch. Research and funding
The innovation-supporting creative-industry services for producing demonstration projects, instructions for use and explanatory videos for a self-developed granulate for light storage were funded by the Free State of Thuringia under number 2018 IKD 0089 and co-financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
On the way to new switchable particles, Dr. Falko Böttger-Hiller & Lars Ehrhardt Leuchtstoffe GbR was supported in a feasibility study for R&D projects. The project was funded by the Free State of Thuringia under number 2018 IDS 0088 and co-financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
